Mr. Henry J. Nanke of Bloomfield passed away on April 7, 2013 after a long struggle at he age of 81. His funeral service was handled by Levandoski Funeral Home 44 Bay Avenue in Bloomfield. Information and on line condolences are available at www.levandoskifuneralhome.com. Henry was the beloved husband of Frances D. Nanke. Loving father Jean Marie Peslak (Edward), Katherine Anne Nanke-Porco (Gianni) and Charles Henry Nanke (Jennifer). Grandfather of Edward A. Peslak, Jessica L. Peslak, Michael N. Porco and Amelia N. Porco. Interment service was at Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown N.J. He served in the Cold War as a 1st Lieutenant from 1955 to 1957 in the Army Corps of Engineering and he was in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1961 to 1962. Henry had worked for many years as an Engineer in the Lamp Division of Westinghouse in Bloomfield. He also worked as an Engineer for Phillips-North American in Somerset N.J.. He also was an Adjunct Professor associated with Bloomfield College for 8 years. He had received his Masters Degree in Quality Control Engineering at Stevens Institute in Hoboken in 1962.
