Hugh, who’s nickname was “Danny”, was born on February 10, 1956 in Kingston, Jamaica. His parents were Olga Moulton (Mother) and Noel Anthony Johnson Sr (Father). He came to the United States in 1968 when he was 12 years old. He also attended Flushing High School then proceeded to enlist in the United States Army in July 1979. He was honorably discharged in September 1982. He was an Infantryman for 3 years and 8 months. He received a Sharpshooter Badge M16 and an Air Assault ranger badge. After completing his military career, he looked for employment. He started security work at Bolton’s Clothing store for 2 years, then became employed at the US Postal Service and retired after 34 years. Before he retired, he became a 32nd Degree Freemasonry. He met his wife Kimberly in 1996 at the post office. Hugh was very persistent to take Kimberly out and Kimberly repeatedly denied him. Eventually Kimberly accepted his advances. Hugh would always take Kimberly out and show off his cooking skills to win her over. Kimberly and Hugh got married on October 4th 2004. They share twin daughters Nyah and Neyah. Hugh enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and watching Chinese movies. Hugh has been cooking for his family for the last 20 years. His wife and kids are now learning cooking 101. He is survived by his wife Kimberly, his two daughters Nyah and Neyah, his brother in law Levon(Lucy), Greg(Tina), Martel(Bridget), Sharon, Keith and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Olga Moulton, father Anthony Noel Johnson Sr, his brother Noel Johnson Jr and in laws Velma and Nathan Freeman. You will be deeply missed by your family and friends and forever in our hearts. From his girls: “Thank you for being a great dad to us. Even though you are gone, your memories will forever be precious and will always live in the core of our hearts. We will miss you so much.” Viewing will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors to follow. Cremation will take place privately.
