Irene Yarosh entered into eternal rest peacefully on December 4, 2024. Born in Kostopol, Ukraine and daughter of Walter and Helen Teclaw Rempter, Irene emigrated from West Germany with her family arriving on a September Sunday in 1949 and settling in Newark, New Jersey. The next day Irene found employment in the garment industry. Later Irene pursued her interest in beauty school and received her New Jersey Beauticians License and practiced the profession for many years. Subsequently Irene worked for Burrelle’s Press Clipping Bureau in Livingston before retiring in 1993.
Irene enjoyed singing in her church choir. She also enjoyed reading novels, fishing, gardening, watching old movies, card playing, cooking and baking, sewing along with babysitting her grandchildren.
It was in Newark that Irene married William Yarosh in February 1950. In 1962 the couple moved to Livingston, New Jersey and were married for nearly 60 years until William’s passing in 2009. Irene later moved to Toms River, New Jersey. Together they had three children: Taisa (Tony Tomaine), Victor (Linda) and Denis (Cathy). The grandchildren: Andrew, Amanda, Erik, Danika, Peter, Alex and Alina. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Ludmyla Karpiw.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at Union Funeral Home - Lytwyn & Grillo, 1600 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, N.J. Panahida - 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Memorial Church, 280 Main Street, South Bound Brook, N.J. Kindly gather directly at the Church for the service. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery, South Bound Brook. Memories and condolences may be shared at unionfuneralhome.com.
