Jadwiga Jankowski

Jadwiga A Jankowski age 99 of Perth Amboy NJ died on February 5, 2012 at Amboy Care Center. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday February 8, at 9:00am from the Laskowski Funeral Home ( Union Funeral Home) 1600 Stuyvesant Ave Union, followed by a mass at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Irington and burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover. Visitation will be Tuseday (today) from 5-8pm. Born in Newark NJ on January 29, 1913, the daughter of the late Jan and Antonia (nee Kozicki) Pawlikowski, she was raised in her parent's hometown of Paczuski, Poland. She returned to the U.S. in 1930 and joined hands in marriage with Walter J. Jankowski in 1937. The couple lived in Newark before moving to Irvington in the 1940s where she resided for many years.After leaving Irvington she lived in Maplewood with her daughter and after moved with her to White House Station. She later lived in Union and Woodbridge before moving to perth Amboy 3 years ago. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and her friends for whom she knitted numerous blankets and cooked up her famous "Babchie sauce" Beloved wife of the late Walter J doting mother of the late Richard W and Carol Ann Major, and loving sister of the late Mary Zembrzuski, Helen Teluns, Stanley Pawlikowski and Regina Bukowski. She is survived by her devoted daughters Jean Thrum and Dorothy krauss and her husband George, her five grand children Donna Ruhl and her husband Steve, Debbie Levin and her husband Steve, Darlene King, Christine Miller and Richard Jankowski Jr. great grand children Ryan and Amanda Ruhl, Zachary, Mathew, and Ashley levin, Richard, Emily and Michael King, and Dare Miller. Jadwiga is also survived by her many caring friends at Amboy care center.
