Janice Lorraine Mason

Janice Lorraine Jenkins Mason, 62, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away March 2, 2017 at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ. She is survived by her husband, Michael Mason, son, Jevon Mason, parents Joseph and Dorothy Jenkins, sisters Geralyn and Julie Ann Jenkins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Janice graduated from Union High School, and went on to New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). It was there where she met her husband, Michael. Janice earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from NJIT, and a master's degree from the Central Michigan University. Janice worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for SERCO Corp at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. In addition to her analytical mind, she was also very talented artistically. She was an excellent seamstress who made her own wedding dress, as well as the dresses of her bridesmaids, among her many creations. She also excelled in ceramics, making dolls and many other high-quality art pieces over the years. Janice was a very devoted mother to her son, Jevon. She was involved in all phases of his academic and sports activities. She was a true soccer mom. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on March 25, 2017. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
