Jeanne Forsberg Breidenbach, beloved mother and grandmother, 91 years old, of Pompton Plains, NJ (Cedar Crest) passed away after a brief illness and went to be at rest with her Lord on September 14, 2015. Jeanne Barbara Forsberg was born on September 7, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Sophie (Knudsen) of Norway and John Forsberg of Sweden. She was predeceased by her only sibling Reverend Nancy Forsberg in 2008. She grew up in Maplewood, NJ, attended Dennison University, NJ and married Andrew W. Breidenbach at the Hilton Methodist Church in Maplewood NJ. They resided in Gainesville, FL, Baltimore, MD, Cincinnati, OH, Rockville, MD, Bethesda, MD and Philadelphia, PA where Andrew passed away in 1980. Jeanne then moved to Gainesville, Florida, St. Augustine, Florida, West Palm Beach Florida, Austin, TX and Pompton Plains, NJ. Jeanne was a wonderful person and mother and left behind her daughter (Barbara Kimball), three sons (Charles, David, and Eric) and four grandchildren (Andrew, Claire, Katherine, and Nathan) who all loved her dearly. She was an accomplished world traveler, exceptional bridge player, successful real estate investor, and a skillful conversationalist. Jeanne delighted in reading and playing the piano, but she loved her pet dogs, (Bucky, Burt, and T.J.) more than anything else in the world. She always enjoyed the company and merriment of many friends and family. Jeanne and her husband Andy attended several State Dinners at the White House during the Ford administration. Her sense of humor, ability to focus on the future, and organizational skills were passed down to all her children and grandchildren. She brightened their lives and made everyone feel at home. She will be buried in Hollywood Park Cemetery at a private service alongside her beloved husband, mother, father, and sister. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, P.O. Box 159, Madison, NJ 07940 are much appreciated. Special Thanks to the staff at both Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains and Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne for their great care.
