Jeannette Marasco

Jeannette Marasco, 78 of Newark, entered peacefully into eternal life on March 14th at home. Born October 4, 1938 in Newark, to the late Vincenzo & Filomena (nee: Rainone), she was a lifelong resident. A graduate of Eastside High School, she worked for many years as a secretary in the Newark Public School System. She's a former member of the Italian Choir of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Newark. She loved to travel the world with her friends. She adored her Nieces and Nephews and their children. She had perpetual luck anytime she entered a casino. More importantly, she lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every bit of the ride along the way. She predeceased by her siblings: Thomas & Joseph Marasco, Josephine Buffardi & Marie Ciallella. She is survived by her siblings, Frances Campbell, Dolores Fabricatore & Lucia Grimaldi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews & grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. (Additional parking available on Broughton Avenue). Relatives and Friends are invited at attend the funeral on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 259 Oliver St., Newark, NJ at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, in her memory.
