Jeffrey A Sommer

Jeffrey A. Sommer, 52 of Kearny, formerly of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 19th at home. Born in Jersey City, he lived there most of his life before moving to Kearny a few months ago. A graduate of Hudson Catholic High School, he was employed as a manager with the Provident Bank retiring in 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Joan (nee: vonSpeckelsen). Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, JoAnne (nee: Sista), his children, Angelina & Nicholas Sommer, his brother, Joseph & his wife, Susan. He is the beloved brother in law of: Debra Crosson, David & Andrea Crosson, Donna & John Greco, Lisa & Michael Sista, Larry & Maria Sista & Scott Sista. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and many cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ 07003 (Additional parking on Broughton Avenue) Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 344 Sixth St., Jersey City, NJ.
