Jerome J. Witczak, Sr., 88 of Jackson, formerly of Bloomfield, entered into eternal life on September 15, 2024 at Monmouth Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on July 23, 1936 to the late Julius & Agnes (nee: Oleniak), he lived most of his life in Bloomfield, where he raised his family, before moving to Succasunna for 15 years, and ultimately retiring in Jackson.
After high school he joined the Navy and proudly served his country, he was a Morris Code Telegrapher serving mostly during peacetime. He then married the love of his life, Frances (nee: Monetti), they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 19th. Jerome was employed by PSE&G as a lineman for decades, retiring in 1995. Above all he was a family man, who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He even played the guitar in his free time.
He is survived by his wife Frances (nee: Monetti), his children Donna Ciaramello (Anthony), Jerome J. Witczak, Jr. (Angelica), Linda Friedman (Howie), Christine Witczak, Patty Stank (Randy), his grandchildren; Anthony Ciaramello, Michael & Alyshia Ciaramello, Joelle & Lleana Bartomeo, Jerome Witczak, III, Joseph & Taylor Witczak, Danielle & Colton Peterson, Erika & Lindsey Kelly, Rachael Stank, Brian & Tara Burritt, Jake Burritt and great grandchildren; Nico Ciaramello, Jax Burritt & Santino Witczak.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
