Jerry Bojko

Jerry Bojko, 76 of Toms River, entered into eternal life on March 7, 2024 at his residence. Born in Ellwagean, Germany on April 27, 1947 to the late Ivan & Ludwika (nee: Lemiszka), at the age of 2 he emigrated to the USA and settled in Newark with his family. He later lived in Fords for many years and for the last 10 years resided in Holiday City South, Toms River.

He was an intelligent child but developed Polio, he managed to preserve through school all the way to his last year of college but was unable to finish due to the debilitating effects of the disease.  None the less, he has a successful career as a stock broker on Wall Street for many years.  He devoted much of his time to fighting for people with disabilities.  If there was an injustice, he made sure to correct the issue.   He was a tireless advocate for people with disabilities.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Luba Waskiw, his nephews, John & Roman Waskiw, Mark & Eugene Koucznyk & great nephew Christopher Waskiw.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Union Funeral Home.   Parastas Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. to commence visitation.

Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 14th at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 733 Sanford Ave., Newark, NJ.  Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
