Joan E Gorman

Joan E. Gorman, 82 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23rd at Brandywine Senior Living in Voorhees, NJ. Born August 28, 1933 to the late Richard & Elsie (nee: Franck) Gorman, she was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and acquired her B.A. from Upsala College. She was employed for over 20 years as an Insurance Underwriter for the Fireman's Fund, the same for 5 years with the Whitney Roddy Agency of Bloomfield and 5 years with the Russell Stevens Agency. She retired in 1995. She was the former President of the Montclair Camera Guild (now Essex Photo Club), a member and holder of various offices in the Master Gardner's Club of Essex County, including a State Delegate. She was also a member of the 4-H Essex County Branch. Joan was especially fond of her many cats and dogs. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother Robert R. Gorman and her cousin Richard T. Gorman. She is the beloved Aunt of Karen Cunningham, Sharon Marshall, Robert Gorman, Michael, Patrick & Peggy Gorman, she is also survived by her cousin Peggy Gorman. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.
