Joann Marie Renkar

July 4, 1934 — June 26, 2012

Joann (Jody) was the beloved wife for 56 years of Eugene Renkar, devoted mother of Steven, Kelly and Christopher and loving grandmother of Kelly's children, Chloe and Lizzie. Jody was the first female President of the Summit Lions Club and held numerous post presidency offices. She then transferred to the Maplewood Lions Club becoming extremely active with Lions First Sight Campaigns. She was President of The Charitable Foundation for the entire District 16E of the NJ Lions Club. She later transferred to the Brick Township Lions Club and then in 2011, after moving to Virginia, joined the Mechanicsville Club. Helping the blind pursue a better quality of life, Jody was instumental in too many ways to count. She always put others ahead of herself to better champion the needs of the needy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Eye Research Foundation: c/o Frank Magnolia, 383 Central Ave, Mountainside, NJ 07092.
