John B. "Jack" Balz, Jr, 82 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 16th. Born in Pittston, PA, he lived most of his life in Bloomfield. He was a proud US Navy Veteran, serving honorably during the Korean War. He was a member of the Rosul-Dul American Legion Memorial Post 359 in Passaic. He owned and operated a printing company, Bloomfield Press for over 15 years, retiring many years ago. He is survived by his beloved wife Sophie, his children, Frances Jersie, & John B. Balz, III, grandchildren; Christopher "CJ", Alyssa & Zachary and a brother, Wayne Balz. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Valentine Church, Bloomfield, followed by Navy Funeral Honors. Cremation will take place privately.
