John F. Cardillo

John Frances Cardillo, age 66, loving husband, father, brother, and son passed away on December 30, 2022.

John was born and raised in Jersey City, son of Jersey City Deputy Fire Chief Dominick Cardillo and his wife Helen. He attended Hudson Catholic High School and graduated from Saint Peter's University. He started his career in finance at Catholic Community Services, continued to the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church and, most recently, served as Conference Treasurer/CFO and Director of Administrative Services for the New England United Methodist Conference.

A Jets fan to the end, always believing in a "BETTER NEXT YEAR". John was the ultimate fishing and crabbing enthusiast and enjoyed living at the Jersey Shore.

A gentle and humble man, John will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 29 years Terry (Theresa nee: Pannullo), his devoted son and best friend John, "sister" Angela, his buddy DJ, and countless family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Union Funeral Home, 1600 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 259 Oliver Street, Newark, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
