Jorge Luis Cortes

Jorge Luis Cortes, 51 of Linden, entered into rest on October 21, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

Born in Newark, NJ on August 27, 1973 to the late Luis Cortes and Santa (nee: Ramos), he lived in Irvington & Elizabeth before moving to Linden 4 years ago.

He was employed as an electronics technician originally employed with Comcast but later ventured out on his own. He was always helping people out with anything they needed. He was definitely a handyman and fixing anything electronic was one of his specialities. He loved to cook and also had a talent with drawing. He was a man of many talents. He was a great Son, Brother, Friend, Uncle but most of all he was an amazing Dad and will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cruz, his mother Santa Cortes, his children Sasha & Noel Cortes, siblings; Yesenia Cortes & Margaret Ramos, nephews Anthony Dixon & Gabriel Roman & niece Alyssa Roman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Luis & sister Annette Cortez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Union Funeral Home, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ. A Celebration of Life will take place around 6:30 p.m. Cremation will take place privately.
