Jose A Oliveira

Jose A. Oliveira, 85 of Newark, entered into eternal rest on February 5, 2023 at his home. Born in Salvaterra de Magos, Portugal on December 15, 1937, he lived in Brazil before moving to Newark in 1980. While living in Brazil, he worked as a fisherman, once in Newark, he was employed in the construction field working for Local 472.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria (nee: DaSilva) & his daughter, Claudia.

He is the beloved father of Maria Teixeira & her husband, Augusto & of Vera Oliveira & loving grandfather of Nicholas & Em Teixeira.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ.

Relatives and Friends are invited to return on Thursday morning for the Funeral.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge St., Newark, NJ. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
