Joseph A Bennett, Jr.

Joseph A. Bennett, Jr, 65, of Keyport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 8th at Bayshore Medical Center. Born in Red Bank, NJ to the late, Joseph A. & Shirley (nee: Lyons) Bennett, he lived in Parsippany/East Hanover area for many years before relocating to Keyport 2 years ago. A graduate of Jersey City State (now NJCU), he was an avid basketball player. Joe was employed as a Salesman for Allied Beverage Group, LLC for over 30 years. He enjoyed the simple things in life. Whether it was working on his tan, enjoying the beach, playing golf or bowling, he made the best of it. His like-able personality made him many friends as he “wined and dined” at local pubs and eateries. He is the cherished father of Joseph J. and his wife, Kim Bennett, and Kristen Bennett, beloved brother of Barbara Raftery and her husband, Chuck, proud and loving grandfather of Ella and Avery Bennett, and dear Uncle of Amanda Raftery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, October 12th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey.
