Jozef Saniewski

Jozef Saniewski, 84 years old, of Union, N.J., passed away peacefully at his home on November 11, 2024, after a short 3-month battle with metastatic prostate cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 537 Grove Street, Irvington, N.J. Kindly gather directly at the Church for the Funeral Mass. Cremation will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Union Funeral Home – Lytwyn & Grillo, 1600 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union. Born in Zareby Swiechy, Poland on September 6, 1940 to the late Stanislaw and Marianna Saniewski. He came to the U.S. in 1986. He was an electrician by trade. Jozef enjoyed going on treasure hunts, loved all animals, and feeding the ducks with his grandkids. Jozef was the life of the party with his quick jokes and was always ready to help anyone in need. He loved cooking for his family and thoroughly enjoyed eating all types of food.

Predeceased by his parents and all of his 5 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Kazimiera Saniewska; his children and their spouses, Robert (Sulema) and Aneta (Stacy); his grandchildren, Johnny, Keven and Danika; his great-granddaughter, Quinn; and many nieces and nephews and many friends.
