Judith A Mitschke

Judith A. Mitschke (nee Laux) entered into eternal rest at home on December 29, 2020. She was born in Stanford, New York on August 9, 1939 to the late Edward and Iola Laux. She lived in Belleville, New Jersey from kindergarten through high school, where she made lifelong friends and met her husband, August. She later lived in Bloomfield for the rest of her life. Judy made many friends at her jobs over the years and had retired from her last job as an office manager at Clifton Medical Imaging in 2008. She will be remembered for kindness, generosity, quick wit, laugh and the many nicknames she bestowed upon friends and family. She enjoyed traveling especially cruises, anywhere with a beach and Las Vegas. She is the beloved wife of August O. Mitschke, cherished mother of Robyn Mitschke (Tina Febré), Stacey Dinardo (Michael), Jennifer Ethirveerasingam (James Winschel III), August E. Mitschke (Tracey Bradley). She enjoyed a deep friendship with her former son-in-law Nahulan Ethirveerasingam. She waited years to become a grandmother and became a grandmother to 8 grandchildren within a 4 year span. She will be lovingly remembered by those grandchildren, Trevor, Elle and Tyler Dinardo, Devin, Lila and Hayden Ethirveerasingam and August L & Neve Mitschke. She is the beloved sister of James Laux (Jane). Judy enjoyed being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Iola Laux and her brother Richard Laux. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey. Visitation will be held privately for the immediate family and no repast will be offered.
