REV. JULIO C. PANTOJA November 6, 1922-August 26, 2014 Rev. Julio C. Pantoja, 91, went home to His father's throne on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Born in Jiguani, Cuba in 1922, he migrated to NY in 1955 where he eventually met and married his adoring wife, Haydalina. An immediate burial was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, before a small group of family and friends at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ. Rev. Pantoja was a retired Methodist minister. Prior to his retirement he was the Pastor at the United Methodist Church "The Redeemer," in Elizabeth, NJ, for over twenty years. A humble ministry that began with three in attendance blossomed into a congregation with over 150 members with God at the helm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in his honor on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 11AM to 1 PM. The service will be held at Matawan United Methodist Church, 478 Atlantic Ave., Aberdeen, NJ. He was the devoted father of Ana, Gerry, Julio, Julie, Patricia, Prisinnia, Aida, Annie, and Amanda; as well as a doting grandfather to Doris, Angelica, Erick, Giovannie, Tanya and Shane. He was also a proud great-grandfather of Yeilan, Kimberly, Alex, and Nadia. Julio loved and held a very special place in his heart for his son-in-law Tim. Also, he extended his love and gratitude for all the kindness and attention given so freely by Richard and Louis. He was a dedicated family man and a loving and faithful husband to his surviving wife of 49 years, Haydalina. 'Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your master.' Matthew 25:23
