Julius Edward Genova

August 23, 1943 — May 12, 2021

Julius E Genova passed away peacefully on May 12th. Julius was born on August 23, 1943, giving him 77 beautiful years. He was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret A. Genova, sister, Lucille Genova, children and grandchildren. Known by his friends and loved ones as Julie or Jules, he lived a full life, working until the age of 62 and spending time with family. He was an active grandfather and loving husband. He had a fierce personality and spirit. He loved meeting new people and was often out and about chatting it up with people in the neighborhood or shopping at the local markets. He loved hunting, fishing and boating and was always up to play a hand of poker. Jules was the master of the kitchen. His collection of cookbooks and kitchen gadgets allowed him to whip up pretty much anything you could ask for. For this and so much more he was loved and will be forever missed. Services will be held at Hollywood Memorial Park. Family and friends can gather at Gethsemane Gardens Mausoleum on Saturday, May 15th at 11:30am for a brief service. Space is limited to 50 people. Masks are required. For directions, go to the Union Funeral Home website at: https://www.unionfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/
