Kazimiera Flak

Kazimiera was Born in Gizynek, Poland on December 1, 1924.She survived captivity on a work farm in Germany and was a displaced refugee after World War II.Kazimiera arrived in the United States in September 1951. She was a homemaker and worked at the Prudential Insurance Building in the maintenance department on Halsey Street in Newark, New Jersey, until her retirement. She has been living in Carteret, New Jersey since 1989. Kazimiera took care of her grandchildren (Bianca, Mikey, Mercedes, and Paulie) and worked at McDonalds in Carteret, New Jersey, for five years. Kazimiera was a person of faith and a lifetime parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Irvington, New Jersey. Predeceased by dearest husbands, Stanislaw Skoczylas and John Flak,and cherished son-in-law, Paul KIsh. Kazimiera is survived by her loving children: Diane Kish, Henry and daughter-in-law Daria Skoczylas, Barbara Skoczylas and fiancee Donald Chromcak, Christine and son-in-law Michael Tierney, and John and daughter-in-law Michelle Flak. Babci's grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of her spirit and love of life will live on through them. Survived by grandchildren : Jennifer and husband Sean Sweeney , Paul KIsh, Bianca, Mikey, and Mercedes Tierney, Georgette and husband Tom Olski , Katherine Skoczylas, and Gwendolyn and Christopher Flak, Great grandchildren: Brandon and Breanna Sweeney, Thomas, Sarah, and Noelle Olski, and Chloe Ward. Ciocia Flak was survived by nieces and nephews in the Skoczylas Family, Pogorzelski Family, Mederos Family, and Reiser family as well as many nieces and nephews in Poland. Mom (Babci)( Great Babci) was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with her family. She will be missed but not forgotten! May you find comfort in the hands of angels!!
