Leonide Leon

She was born on September 23, 1936. She is the daughter to the late Emanuel Leon and the late Leonie Lettelier.

Leonide enjoyed life with her family especially when she cooked for them, it would always be enough food to feed an army. She loved to babysit any child that she could this brought her great joy. She prided herself on her spotless home, and her faith was above all else. Leonide was a very compassionate woman, and very spicy. She was a once in a lifetime kind of person.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Gyna E. Hampton, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

She is survived by Kettely Leon; Valquise Skerritt and 2 son-in-laws Glen Hampton and Kelvin Skerritt; her sister, Yva Louis; 5 grandchildren, Darnelle Jr., Ronald, Alvin, Paul Michael, and Sierra Hampton, and 4 great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.   A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
