Loretta A. DeSantis, 92, of East Brunswick, formerly of Manasquan and Belleville, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. Born in Belleville, she resided there for most of her life before relocating to Manasquan. In 1952, she married Anthony Camillo DeSantis. After raising her children, Loretta pursued her passion for design, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Kean College. This led to a fulfilling career as an Interior Designer, with her company DeSantis Design.
Loretta cherished daily walks, especially along the beach. Her love for movement extended to figure skating, where she was a dedicated member of the Figure Skating Precision Team. A lifelong member of the Essex Skating Club, she served with distinction as its President for many years. Above all, Loretta was known for her compassionate nature, always a willing listener and a source of unwavering support for her loved ones. She was a loyal friend to many.
Loretta was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony.
She is survived by her children: Daniel DeSantis and his wife June, Maryjo DeSantis Dixon and her husband Keith, and Paul DeSantis. Cherished grandchildren include Danielle DeSantis Ricker and her husband Jamie, Steven DeSantis and his wife Danielle, Allison DeSantis, and Brian Dixon. She also leaves behind her great-granddaughter, Lucy June Ricker, and her siblings: Marie Spagnoletti Lembo and Antoinette Spagnoletti Valvano.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 63 Franklin St., Belleville, NJ. (Please meet directly at Church). Burial of cremated remains will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
