Luba Dawidiuk

Luba Dawidiuk Was born on October 5, 1920 in Tuchen, Ukraine. She married Andrew Dawidiuk on January 7, 1943. After the Second World War, Andrew and Luba Dawidiuk lived five years in a refugee camp in Germany for displaced persons. Her two older daughters, Rosita and Helen were born in that camp. She and her husband Andrew, with their two young daughters aged 3 and 5, came to the United States in 1950 to Ellis Island as immigrants. They finally settled in Irvington, New Jersey where Pastor Andrew became the pastor of a small Ukrainian church in Newark, NJ. In their later years they retired and moved to Fort Myers, Florida where Pastor Andrew passed away in 1996, and his wife Luba passed away on August 28, 2018 at the ripe old age of 97. She is survived by her five children, Rosita Popowicz, Helen Lucyk, George Davidiuk, Ruth Semeniuk and Joy Kalczuk. Also, 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Union Funeral Home at 1600 Stuyvesant Ave, in Union, NJ on Saturday, September 8 at 10 AM. The burial shall follow immediately afterwards.
