Mrs. Lucila Ponce de Leon of Bloomfield passed away on June 24, 2014. Visiting hours are 5pm to 9pm on Thursday evening at Levandoski Funeral Home 44 Bay Avenue Bloomfield. Her funeral will begin at 9am at the funeral home on Friday morning. The funeral mass will begin at 10am in St. Valentine Church in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. Lucila is the beloved wife of Domingo Ponce de Leon. Devoted mother of Diana Cortez, Lucila V. Ponce de Leon (her husband Dominic Scalzi), Magdalena Ponce de Leon (her husband Ricardo Rivera), Maribel Ponce de Leon and the late Domingo Ponce de Leon and the late Ricardo Ponce de Leon (his surviving wife Luz). Lucila was the last of her 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Loving grandmother of Diego Rivera, Emilio Rivera and loving step grandmother of Natalie Rivera, Julio Galarza, Michael Galarza and David Galarza. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to Alzheimers Association 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251 Denville NJ 07834 are preferred.
