Lydia Lodico

Lydia Lodico 97, of Dover, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2025, at St Claires Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with pneumonia.

Lydia was born on May 11th, 1927, in the Bronx, New York to Johanna and Herman Yochman. She graduated from school and went on to work as a Telephone Operator for 8 years, before becoming a stay-at-home mom for her children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife, known for her sense of humor, the love of a good local Diner, afternoon coffee and watching Judge Judy.

She is survived by her children Deirdre and husband Don, Daria and husband Peter, Vincent and wife Sharon and grandchildren Janine and wife Kelly and Justin. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Vincent Lodico Sr.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Claires Hospital in Dover for their compassionate care during Lydia’s illness.

A funeral service to celebrate Lydia’s life will be held on February 4th, 2025, 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 170 Bradhurst Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
