Marcelle Sedar

Marcelle Sedar, 79, died peacefully on 6/25/24 after a very brief battle with Covid-19 and extended struggle with multiple medical conditions at Arbor Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Wayne. Marcelle was born in Montclair, NJ and raised in Pompton Plains, NJ.

She was the second child and only daughter of Yvonne (Fischer) Auch and Ira Woodrow Auch. After graduating Pequannock High School in 1962, Marcelle worked in various capacities for companies such as Franco Construction Company, Foster Wheeler, French Hill Inn, OfficeMates 5, Wayne General Hospital’s Family Health Care Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (Wayne General Hospital), and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center-Paterson. She was the proud recipient of the Chairman’s Award of Merit at Wayne General Hospital in 1995 for her significant contributions to patient care and positive workplace culture.

Marcelle was briefly married and had one daughter, Yvonne Sedar Argento, who was her pride and joy. In her free time, Marcelle enjoyed socializing, cooking “down-home” meals, arts and crafts, country and rock music, dollhouse, miniature and doll collecting, hosting parties, a menagerie of pets and reading. Marcelle was predeceased by her parents and beloved brother, Joseph Auch.

Surviving are her daughter, Yvonne Sedar Argento, son-in-law, grandsons, Leonardo and Jericho (Jerry) Argento, brothers, Ira E. Auch and Gerald (Jerry) Lee Auch, numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many other loved ones.

A casual wake and celebration of Marcelle’s life will take place on Saturday, 6/29/24, from 12 pm to 3 pm at Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave, Bloomfield, NJ. Cremation will follow privately.
