Maria A Probst

Maria A. Probst (nee: Geiger), 84 of Bloomfield passed away on May 18. Her final days were spent surrounded with her family. Maria was born in Reinprechting, Bavaria Germany. Maria and her husband Franz Probst moved to the US from Germany and for a short time lived in Bernardsville, NJ before moving to Bloomfield in 1960, The Green drew them to Bloomfield. Maria worked as a seamstress, homemaker and in later years as a housekeeper until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed her family and her gardens kept her busy. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; Franz & wife Janette, Richard & wife Teresa, & Maria. Her grandchildren; Patricia & fiance Jourdan Miller, Erick, Andrea & Jessica; great-grandchild Evelyn. Surviving are her sister Franziska Stallinger; sister-in-laws Bonnie Probst, Maria Kultzer, Maria Geiger and Maria Kopp; she was a loving Aunt to many. She was predeceased by her husband, Franz. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Magnificat Chapel, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon NJ. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Magnificat Cemetery.
