Maria E Oliveira

Maria E. Oliveira, 78 of Newark, entered into eternal rest on November 6th at Columbus Ltach. Born July 12, 1940 in Gafanha da Nazare, Portugal to the late Joaquin & Ilda DaSilva, she lived in Brazil for 20 years before settling in the US in 1980. In 1960 she married her beloved husband, Jose and she devoted her years to raising their 3 children. She later worked for Celentano Foods in Verona for 17 years, retiring in 2001. She is predeceased by her daughter, Claudia Oliveira, her siblings; Maria Francisca Oliveira & Jose DaSilva. She is the devoted wife of Jose A. Oliveira, cherished mother of Maria Teixiera & her husband Augusto & Vera Oliveira, loving grandmother of Nicholas & Emily Teixiera. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ 07003 Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, November 9th at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge St., Newark, NJ. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Ave., Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation the Alzheimer Association at www.ALZ.org.
