On December 2, 2019, loving wife and beloved mother of two children, María Elena Tobar, was called to God after a seven year battle with breast cancer. Maria was born on December 27, 1964 in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. María will be remembered as a gentle soul and daughter of God who had a kind word for everyone she met. Although she suffered many adversities in her life, she never complained, and met everyone with her warm smile. Maria was strong in her faith, as she was humble, loving and kind. Maria was a loyal wife to her husband, Jose Abraham Tobar, a caring sister to her brother, Alfredo Cortez, a dedicated mother to son, Charles Tobar, and daughter, Vanessa Tobar, and loving grandmother to grandson, Lucas John Tobar, all of whom she is survived by. We will continue to love and honor Maria, and remember her as a woman who loved to take in nature’s beauty and well as enjoy her favorite Christian music. Proverbs 31:31: "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All are invited to return on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
