Maria Esther Fernandez-Gonzalez, 68 of Newark, gained her wings on December 6, 2020 at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. Born November 2, 1952 in Havana, Cuba, she came to the US at the age of 2. She retired from a long career in Customer Service and was a devoted grandmother. She is a proud and loving Nana that loved to make her grandchildren smile. She was a master of cuddles and desserts. She is now our Angel. She is the beloved mother of Jeanette Gonzalez-Ceron & her husband Merced, Tabitha Fernandez & J.P. Garcia, loving grandmother of D.J. Gonzalez, Erick, Alexander, Julian, Arryonna & Yezenia Ceron, Jaylin Quinn & Natalia Portillo, & great-grand daughter, Lillianna Ceron. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Cremation will take place privately. Face Masks or Coverings must be worn in the Funeral Home at all times.
