Lemega, Maria (nee Budnyk), 84, passed away on October 23, 2011 at The King James Nursing Home in Chatham, NJ. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, October 27 at 8:30 AM from the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, (unionfuneralhome.com) 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ, there will be a funeral liturgy at St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Newark at 9:30 AM with the interment to follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery in Hamptonburgh, NY. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Maria was the beloved wife of the Late William, the devoted mother of Roman and his wife Denise, Jaroslaw and his wife Nadiya and Irene and her husband Ron Rainier, the cherished grandmother of Jennifer and her husband Gregory Deutsch and Roman Jr. and William Lemega and Christine, Jason and Hailey Rainier, and the loving great grandmother of Jackson Roman and Julianna Grace Deutsch. She was the dear sister of Roman Budnyk and his wife Wanda and Christine Drebych and her husband George and the late Joseph Budnyk. Born in Oliyv, Ukraine, Maria lived and was married in Scotland, after which she lived in Maplewood before moving to Whippany 27 years ago. Her life was devoted to her loving family.
