Mariana Connors

Mariana Connors, 86 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on July 3, 2023, at her home. Born April 17, 1937, in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, to the late Alejandro DeLeón & Damasa Barela, she lived in North Newark most of her life until settling in Bloomfield in 2002. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who prided herself on lovingly caring for her children and grandchildren.

Mariana lived a simple yet love-filled life. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her family. They enjoyed her company and most especially her cooking. Every holiday featured mountains of food, each of which was a mouthwatering masterpiece. Her chicken soup was known to cure any ailments her grandchildren may have had.

She is the cherished mother of Ana Maria, James, Robert, Beatrice, Junior & the late Joey and Tony, beloved and caring grandmother of 14 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday morning, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
