Mary A. Ruddy (nee: Wallace), 88 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on March 26th. Born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Manhattan, she moved to Bloomfield in 1953. When she lived in New York, she worked as a clerk in the credit department of Brooks Brothers. Once she moved to Bloomfield, she held several positions in customer service or managerial status at many Bloomfield based businesses, including; Westinghouse, Peerless Tube, Betty Brite Cleaners, Third River Realty, Rhodes & VanNote. She retired in 1990 to enjoy spending more time with her grandchildren. A devout parishioner of St. Valentine Church, she is a member of the Rosary Altar Sodality and a member of the September Club of St. Thomas Church, both of Bloomfield. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Ruddy & brothers, Frank, George & James Wallace. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; Paul James & wife Cheryl, Frank John & wife Carol, & Robert Brian Ruddy, her siblings; Helen Papaioannow, her grandchildren; Bryan Paul, Erin Ann, Michael John & Scott Thomas Ruddy. She is also a proud loving Aunt & Cousin to many. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31st from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, April 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Valentine Church. Cremation will be held in private at Rosedale Crematory. Inurnment of Paul & Marys cremated remains will take place at a later time at Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Valentine Church, located at 125 N.
