Mary Ann Diak-Stern

Mary Ann, 68, of Mountainside, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 4, 2020. Mary Ann was the beloved wife of Jeff Stern, devoted mother of Joshua and Joanna. She is survived by her sister, Luba, and her husband, Roman Karpa. She was a devoted aunt to Roman, Michael, and his wife, Roseann and Peter, and his wife, Marina and great aunt to Arielle. She was also loved and survived by her father in law, Larry Goldsmith. She was predeceased by her parents, Petro and Anna Diak. Mary Ann loved spending time with her family and friends. She is loved and will be dearly missed more than words can describe and will forever be in our hearts. Mary Ann retired from Housing and Urban Development after 40 years. After retirement she was a part time consultant for Leading Age NJ. A private service was held on Monday, December 7, 2020. Donations in Mary Ann's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
