Mary Anna Dziergoski

Mary Anna Dziergoski passed away on October 1, 2015 at home in Mays Landing, NJ. She leaves behind two sons, Bobby of Hamilton Township, NJ and Ricky (wife Irene), of Andover, NJ, as well as 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Michelle, and 3 great grandchildren, Victoria, Makayla, and Blake. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Anna and Joe Sroka, her brother, Stanley Sroka, and her sister and best friend, Eleanor Mealy (and El's husband, Vinnie). Mary's kind eyes had a mischievous sparkle to them. She was a straight shooter with a true zest for life. She enjoyed going to the movies, parties attending and hosting them and a nice, ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. She spent her leisure time taking road trips, exploring all over the tri-state area. She knew just where to find the best deals on Lenox pieces, the best Polish food, and the most dazzling shoes. She was born and raised in Newark, NJ, a city that was always dear to her heart. The Newark Police Department was fortunate to have her as a proud employee for 43 years. Relatives and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Mary's life. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 4-6 P.M. at the Union Funeral Home Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave. The funeral will be Monday, October 5 at 9 A.M., followed by mass at 10 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Church, 147 Irvine Turner Boulevard, Newark, NJ. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. .
