Maryann Garner

Maryann Garner, 58 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal life on February 10, 2019 at her home. Born in Jersey City, to the late Jerry Masin & Adele Konczal, she lived in Bloomfield for the past 28 years. Maryann was a beloved & dedicated school teacher having taught at St. Thomas the Apostle in Bloomfield until 2010 and then at St. Catherine of Sienna in Cedar Grove until 2014. Deeply religious, she made sure she kept herself in shape, proudly supported her sons’ baseball games and was active with the USO. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is the beloved wife of Bruce Garner, cherished mother of Anthony, dear sister of Jerry Masin & his wife Nora, loving aunt of Zachary Masin. Maryann was very close with her “in-laws” of whom she considered family. Surviving are Robert & Maria Garner, their children James Garner & Dana Pierson & her husband Don, their children, Donald & Robert John Pierson & her sister in law, Deborah Garner. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home, thence to St. Thomas the Apostle Church for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Cremation Service will follow at Rosedale Crematory, Orange, NJ. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.
