Michael J. Quick

Michael J. Quick 73 of Parsippany, formerly of Bloomfield, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 22nd at St. Clare's Denville. Born March 13, 1942 in Newark, he lived most of his life in Bloomfield before moving to Parsippany/Lake Hiawatha several years ago. He is a retired Essex County Corrections Officer having served from 1977-2003. He is a member of the Essex County PBA and FOP. Mike loved to sing, and had a melodic voice that effortlessly belted out his favorite DooWop songs. He took great enjoyment in his leisure time, he loved to soak up the sun and visit the shore, and truly knew what it meant to relax. He is predeceased by his father Thomas Quick. He is the cherished husband of Darlene "Irma" (nee: Tartell), loving father of Christina Cifelli & her husband, Gerard & Michele Quick, beloved son of Edna Quick, proud and loving grandfather of Antony & Joey Cifelli & Vincent Muccigrosso, dear brother of Maryanne Stanton, Pat Moll, Thomas Quick, Alice Seconish, Marie Quick, Kathy Quick, John Quick & Ricky Quick.Mike was a very special brother in law, but more like a brother, to the entire Tartell Family and is survived also by many nieces, nephews and friends, and of course his dog, Dina Ann. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Valentine Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, N.J.
