Michael Joseph Dorkhom

Michael J. Dorkhom of Ridgewood NJ, left this earth on Jan. 21, 2021, just 3 days shy of his 37th birthday to be with the Lord and his father, Joseph S. Dorkhom; Grandmother, Elaine M. Dorkhom; Grandfather, Stephan S. Dorkhom; and Grandfather, Fouad Said. Born on Jan. 24, 1984 in Hackensack Hospital to Antoinette and Joseph Dorkhom, Michael grew up in Ridgewood, NJ and baptized in Saint George Antiochian Church in Little Falls, NJ, where he attended Sunday School, was an altar boy and a part of Teen SOYO. Upon graduating Ridgewood High School, Michael took his artistic talent to Capri Institute where he became a master barber. Anyone that knew him loved him, he was the life of the party, especially when he was hosting them. He was loved by many, and likely one of the most popular individuals of class and upper class man. He was always up for laugh or a philosophical debate. He loved his family and friends fiercely and loyally. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his mother, Antoinette Dorkhom, his siblings Stephan, Elaine and Jennifer Dorkhom. He leaves behind his son, Jack Joseph Dorkhom age 12, stepdaughter Jade Rose Hidalgo, and civil partner Mialee Eng. He was the proud uncle of Elias and the soon to be uncle of Joseph and Matthew. In addition to his immediate family, Michael had over 20 cousins on his mother and father's side, and plenty of second cousins. His motto was: Life is beautiful. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. George of Antioch Church, 237 Long Hill Road, Little Falls, NJ 07424.
