Myrna Rivera-Vega passed over to eternity at her home surrounded by her devoted husband, sons, sister and nieces on May 26, 2020 at the age of 59. She is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. Myrna is predeceased by her father Virgilio Rivera, her mother Mercedes Rodriguez and brothers Jose Juan, Eliu and Migdoel Rivera. Survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Juan Vega their three sons Jeyson, Jagdiel and Rocky and seven grandchildren she adored, Jeyson, Angel, Jassiah, David, Jariel, Grace and Emma. Myrna is also survived by her loving sister Lilliam Rivera, brothers and in-laws, Willie & Irma Rivera, Roque & Lucy Rivera , Iris Vega, Ana M. Vega, Carlos Vega and loved by 19 nieces and nephews. Myrna was born in Jersey City, NJ on August 10th, 1960. She graduated from the Jose N. Gandara High School, Aibonito, Puerto Rico in 1977. Went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Education from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico and obtained her Master in Lengua y Cultura Españolas from the Universidad de Salamanca Spain in 2009. She was a devoted teacher for over 25 years. She worked for the Department of Education in Puerto Rico and for the Jersey City Board of Education, NJ at P.S.#3. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends. She was kind and generous especially to those in need. Her loving, sweet and fun spirit is remembered by many leaving an unforgettable and beautiful legacy. A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, Bloomfield NJ following a Christian Burial at the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
