Myrtle B. Spencer Boulware was born on June 18, 1930 in North Carolina. She is the daughter of her late parents, Reverend James Franklin Spencer and Ellen Agnes Hill Spencer. Myrtle later moved to New Jersey with her family. Myrtle attended the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where she earned a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a faithful nurse and worked at Irvington General Hospital for over 40 years until she retired. During her early years she married her late husband of 40+ years that being James (Jim) F. Scruggs. Upon his death Myrtle later remarried Charles Boulware of New Jersey. In addition to her long term career as a nurse she was a dedicated bowler for over 40 years. During her bowling tenure she won over 50 awards in various bowling leagues throughout the state of New Jersey. She retired from bowling in 2016. Myrtle passed away the morning of April 4, 2019 at her home in Vaux Hall, the township of Union New Jersey. She is survived by her husband Charles Boulware, her only child Terald Stanley Garrett and his wife Goioa, a native of New Jersey, who currently resides in Greensboro North Carolina, Grand Daughter Tera Leslie Garrett McBride a native of New Jersey who currently resides in Birmingham Alabama, Grand Daughters Chauncee Spencer Garrett and Sydney Charlene Garrett who both reside in Greensboro North Carolina; first cousins Argurie Hill Scott, age 95, Mildred Hill Hammon, age 89, and James Hill, age 72. In addition, Myrtle is survived by her four Great Grand Children: Caliyah Simone Garrett, age 10, Zipporah Tierra McBride, age 7, Caira Sinclaire Garrett, age 7 and Zaria Jael McBride, age 2. Additionally, Myrtle has a host of cousins, family members and friends who will forever keep her memory alive in their hearts. Myrtle is now resting in the Lord; until we meet again.
