Nancy was an extraordinary woman, who shared her many gifts and talents with her family and community. Born in Newark, NJ, in 1930, Nancy grew up in Union. She married William Klapproth in the late 1940s and had children, and later one grandchild. Nancys children were her lifes greatest joyand their friends were, too. She welcomed her daughters best friends into her home and loved talking to them about their boyfriends and aspirations. For many years, Nancy sold real estate. Her kind-hearted, empathic demeanor was on ready display as she helped young couples and others find the right place to call home. She also worked in offices, and after "retiring," she even taught recreation at an elderly community in Cranford. At a young age, Nancy learned piano, and would serve as the Battle Hill Moravian Churchs organist for about 25 years. Her daughter, Debra, and her granddaughter, Nicole, frequently played the violin and sang with Nancy for the congregation. Until the very end of her life, Nancy was able to sight-read music with aplomb. Nancy will be missed by her family.
