Nancy Tafaro

Tafaro, Nancy,(nee DeMattia) 96, passed away on February 4, 2013 at Capital Health Center in Trenton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, February 7 at 9:30 AM from the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn (unionfuneralhome.com), 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083 with the Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church in Hillside and the entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mrs. Tafaro was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Tafaro, Sr. and the devoted mother of Joseph, Jr. and his wife Irene, and Donna Ward. She was the Loving Grandmother of Michael Tafaro and his wife, Stacey, Anita Sanfiorenzo and her husband Michael and Nicholas Tafaro and the loving Great Grandmother of Gianna Sanfiorenzo, Amelia Tafaro and Daniella Sanfiorenzo. She was the dear sister of the late Samuel DeMattia, Jennie Luciw, John DeMattia, Lucy DeNora and Armando DeMattia. Nancy was born in Newark and lived in Hillside before moving to Kendall Park in 1996. She was a member of the Hillside Senior Citizens. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
