Nicholas Tsipas

Nicholas Tsipas of Bloomfield passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the age of 90. Born in Albania, he had lived in Nutley for 15 years prior to moving to Bloomfield over 25 years ago. Nicholas was the produce manager at the Orange, NJ Shop-Rite for 20 years prior to his retirement 25 years ago. He was an avid soccer fan who also enjoyed walking and shopping. Nicholas was the beloved husband of 65 years to Antigoni (nee Verdis) Tsipas; father of Ellie Ritchie & her husband Thomas, Martha Marshall & her husband Frank and Michael Tsipas & his wife Jayne. He is also survived by 2 sisters, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23rd from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. concluding with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ. (Additional parking along Broughton Avenue). Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 24th at 10:00 a.m. in Rosedale Cemetery, 408 Orange Road, Montclair.
