Nina Vetere

Nina (nee Comito) Vetere, 95, of Bloomfield, N.J. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was born on May 18, 1923 in Brooklyn to Louis & Laura Comito. Nina resided in Brooklyn prior to moving to Bloomfield 65 years ago. She was a seamstress for many years at Fabricville in Montclair, N.J. before her retirement 25 years ago. Even after her retirement she enjoyed sewing and cooking. Nina cherished the time spent with her family more than anything else in her life. Nina was the beloved wife of the late Ludwig “Al” Vetere, who predeceased her in 1996; loving mother of Eugene Vetere, Louis Vetere, Leanora Wolanin, Suzanne Vetere, and Rosanne Kinder; dear sister of Rosemarie Mangiaracina; and cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (www.levandoskigrillofuneralhome.com), 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield (additional parking on Broughton Avenue) on Monday, January 21st from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 22nd at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
