Nydia Esther Pino

April 3, 1949 — June 21, 2022

Born April 3rd, 1949, in the South Bronx, NYC. At four years old she moved and was raised in Philadelphia, PA. In 1965, she planted her roots in Hoboken, NJ, and Newark, NJ. She loved the sea and spent her latter years at her beach front apartment in Asbury Park, NJ. She was a strong willed, creative and a highly intelligent woman that overcame many obstacles, considered herself a Warrior and NY Rican. Valentine’s Day and the color red were her favorites. A Latin-Jazz enthusiast. A pioneer in the Cosmetology field, backed by many achievements, and degrees. Creating hair was her passion. Her successful career landed her gigs like privately owned businesses, teaching, Soap Operas, live TV, stage work (International Hair shows}, traveling to the Caribbean’s and across the Country for public and private appearances. Life was good. Her softer side was her love for her three daughters and eight grandchildren. Her eldest child Maritza LLado has two sons, David and Daniel Grom. Her middle child Elizabeth Pino has two sons Julian F. (deceased), Richard V. and daughter Mia E. Pino. Her third child Esther M. Belen has two daughters, Jaden, Nyala, and son Emmanuel Belen. Her life was full of love and adventure. But life wasn’t always easy for the most part and she lived up to her reputation as a Warrior and always put her best foot forward. Mom, you are now set free from pain, to conquer the Heavens and spread your loving smile and laughter to all who are with you!!! You will be missed by many and forever live in our hearts. Until we meet again. We love you… Graveside services will take place on Thursday, June 30th at 12:00 p.m. at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ at the Chapel of Love & Remembrance.
