Rene E. Pouliot

Rene E. Pouliot, 76, passed away on December 4, 2024 in the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Wilmington, DE. Visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Union Funeral Home – Lytwyn & Grillo, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, N.J. A Catholic Prayer Service will be offered at 11:30 a.m., with mausoleum entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Memories and condolences may be shared at unionfuneralhome.com.

Rene was born in Newark, N.J. and was a long-time resident of Union. He was a graduate of the Frank H. Morrell High School in Irvington, N.J. Following high school, Rene enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and permanently retired in 1973 due to a service injury. Trained as an Electronics Technician, he went on to work as a civilian employee at the Picatinny Arsenal until his retirement in 2006 with 30 years of Federal service. Rene was an avid fisherman and a member of the Elks, serving as an Exalted Ruler.

He is survived by his brother, Armand J. Pouliot, and sister-in-law Barbara.
