Robert Edward Cuddy

Mr. Robert E. Cuddy of Lavallette formerly of Bloomfield and Gillette N.J. passed away on January 21, 2013 at the age of 81. Visiting hours are 2pm to 6pm on Wednesday afternoon, January 23 at Levandoski Funeral Home 44 Bay Avenue Bloomfield. His funeral mass will be at Saint Valentine Church in Bloomfield on Thursday morning at 10am. All are invited to meet the family at church at that time. A private cremation will follow. Robert is survived by his loving wife Hedy Cuddy, His children Colleen Cuddy (her husband Noel Billig), Nancy Tillinghast (her husband James) and Brian Cuddy. Grandfather of Millicent Billig, Toby Billig, Bella Tillinghast and Calder Tillinghast. He was predeceased by his brother Edward Cuddy. Robert had received his Masters Degree in Education at Seton Hall University and his Masters Degree in Mathematics at the University of Oregon. He was a math teacher at Bloomfield Brookdale School (5th grade), South Orange Junior High School and Morris County College. He also was an accomplished pianist, playing locally for many years with various groups or solo. Robert was a member of the Musicians Union in Newark. He also served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. In lieu of flowers, donations to Upper Shores Library 112 Jersey City Avenue Lavallette NJ 08735 in Robert's memory would be appreciated.
