Robert J (Rocky) Rowe Sr.

Robert (ROCKY) J. Rowe, Sr., of Union, passed away at the age of 60 on Sunday, December 6 at Clara Maas Medical Center after tough battle with small cell lung cancer. Rocky was the son of the late Fredrick and Mary (Messinger) Rowe of Elizabeth. He is survived by his 3 children, Robert, Vanessa and Amanda, with Margaret (Rowe) Cordaro, 2 step-children, Robert and Jennifer, with the late Patti (Smolenyak) Rowe, 9 grandchildren and 3 remaining siblings- Karen, Virginia and Timmy. Rocky had 26 years of service at Ritter/Sysco Foods, and was most recently employed by Weltman Home Services, which was like a second family to him. Rocky had a passion for bowling. For years he served as 2nd VP to the Union County Bowling Association and was a 21 year member to the Downtown Vets Bowling Association. He was a real handy-man and enjoyed tinkering with various projects and motorcycles. He will be cherished and missed by all.
